Logging off for 2023 at MTYB 👋

To everyone that was part of 2023, thank you. This year was so much more than I thought it would be, and it brought with it some incredible opportunities and some bigger challenges.

So it's time for a rest, because my creative brain is a little fried (... ok a lot) but also so excited for what is to come in 2024!

I'll be back in the office on Monday 15th January 2024 so until then, have a wonderful break and beautiful festive season 🎄🍾

'Tis the season for end-of-year parties, OOO replies and sparkling wine ... lots of it! 🥂

Just a quick note to say that MTYB will be closed for a few weeks over the festive season as this business owner needs some downtime.

I'll be in the office until Thursday this week and then I'll be back for 2024 on 15th January 🗓

Looking forward to some very exciting new projects in the new year!

Whoops! I dropped off the grid again (it happens every year so we should all be used to it at this point!) 👩‍💻

As I start to close up the final projects for 2023 and plan for the new year I thought it would be a good time to let you all know that my next available spot for website projects is March 2024, which at this point seems so far away but I know it'll be here before we know it. So if you want to get something booked in for the new year shoot me a message and we can get a meeting booked in!

I know July started 5 minutes ago, and it probably still feels like early April ... but my calendar is starting to fill up (as is my brain) and I am currently booking for late August and September 🗓

Five years 🖐

Tomorrow marks 5 years since I took More Than Your Brand full time 😍

In that time I’ve worked hard at building a client base whose businesses I believe in and that I genuinely enjoy working with. I’ve navigated running a business from a one bedroom apartment during a global pandemic. I’ve moved into a co-working space and met other wonderful business owners. I’ve rebranded the business.

There hasn’t been a day that’s passed where something hasn’t stressed me out, but I knew that would be part and parcel of business ownership. I still get excited when a new website goes live, and I get the warmest feeling inside when I receive great feedback or a positive review - that won’t ever get old.

I was going to let today pass without really marking the occasion, it often feels a little strange to celebrate as a solo business owner. But five years is an achievement and I need to acknowledge that. Next week I can focus on what the future looks like for MTYB, but for the next few days I’m just going to take a minute to look back at the last five years.

Beautiful isn't enough when it comes to website design, that's why my tagline is 'beyond beautiful websites'. The 'beyond' is the important part, good design is more than (😉) just the way it looks, it's about how users interact with it ... scratch that, it's about how people interact with it.

What are the problems your clients need you to solve? How can we tweak your website to help them access information they need most?
