Apple’s DIY Repair Program Should Come to Australia Within The Next Year. So Here’s What It’s All About.

iPhone DIY Repair Program has been launched in the US. This includes the genuine parts and instructions needed to fix the iPhone 12, iPhone 13 and third-generation iPhone SE themselves (which really translates to replacement screens and batteries plus numerous special apple tools).
Reports state that to DIY is a few $US more than having it done at the Apple Store.
There is a major concern relating to privacy as to program the iPhone to function correctly you have to connect to the apple site and have your phone and screen recalibrated and part of the process is to agree to the terms and conditions which include sending to apple all details of you iPhone, your Wifi and every device connected to your wifi from fridge, televisions and any other device.
I find this a major breach of privacy however, if you say no and don’t agree to Apple’s terms and conditions, your phone will not work properly as you will not be able to calibrate the screen and phone.
