When a marine radio stops working, is it really the radio that's at fault? 🤔

That was the question when this Yellowfin came into our workshop with a VHF radio that had no display, constant static and wouldn't switch off.

It would have been easy to assume the radio had reached the end of its life.

Instead, we took the time to diagnose the system properly.

✔️ Tested the radio
✔️ Checked the antenna
✔️ Traced the power supply
✔️ Found the real fault – a failing circuit breaker causing a significant voltage drop
✔️ Replaced the breaker and fitted a new antenna after the original had been damaged

The result? The radio was operating exactly as it should, and the customer avoided replacing equipment that didn't actually need replacing.

⛽ Keeping Fuel Management Systems Running Across Regional WA

Recently, one of our technicians travelled thousands of kilometers across multiple remote sites, completing Fuel Management System upgrades and maintenance for one of our long-term earth-moving clients.

The job involved:
✔ Software & firmware updates
✔ System testing
✔ Fault finding
✔ Antenna replacements
✔ Tank calibration
✔ On-site technical support

From Picton and Myara to Cataby, Coburn and Atlas, it's all part of ensuring these critical systems continue operating reliably where they're needed most.

🥊 Celebrating Local Champions!

It was great to welcome David, Australian Schools Championships Silver Medallist, and Seanadh, Australian Schools Championships Gold Medallist, into Earth 2 Ocean to show Chris their medals and thank him for his ongoing support and sponsorship.

Outside of Earth 2 Ocean, Chris also volunteers as a Boxing Australia Bronze Coach, helping develop the next generation of local boxing talent.
