🍎 A quick heads-up for our Apple users!
iOS 27 and macOS 27 landed in Australia yesterday, 15 September, and there are a couple of device compatibility details worth knowing before you hit update.
💻 On the Mac side, macOS 27 is Apple silicon only—that’s Macs running Apple’s own chips. Older Intel-based Macs won’t be able to install this version, although they can keep running their existing compatible macOS.
📱 For iPhones, you’ll need an iPhone 11 or newer, or an iPhone SE from the 2nd or 3rd generation. The iPhone XR, XS, XS Max and older models won’t get iOS 27. Some features also depend on which phone you have.
My usual reminder: make sure your backup is up to date, and check any important apps you rely on for work before upgrading. Probably best not to start five minutes before a client meeting either! 😅
Have you updated already, or are you giving it a few days? I personally like to wait until the first round of bug fixes is made for big updates like this.
