Two Permanent Magnet Generators charge 48V Lithium battery bank at 17kW Power . How do they do that?
These units simply replace alternators on the diesel engines. Most people don't know that an alternator is 63% efficient when cold and around 50% when hot. It should be no surprise as alternators were developed in the last century. In this video we show you how to save at least 300kgs in weight and significant installed cost and space. Even if you add 20kwh of Lithium, this only adds 150kgs so you are still ahead on weight and can enjoy sunset to sunrise in silence. If you are a catamaran owner then the J180 mount fits nicely on Yanmar 3JH and 4 JH engines. With this setup in a 40-50Ft Catamaran you DONT need a genset at all. Finally, if you use Victron power electronics, this BMG appears as an "alternator" on the left hand side of the screen where charging devices are shown. It sits on the VE.CAN bus and is fully compliant. Overall, such a winner.

Sun Odyssey 391 gets a 10kW power for overnight cabin aircon. There is no longer a 12V alternator!
Meet Jaide who lives aboard this 39ft sailing boat. He wanted to run the aircon all night plus enjoy espresso coffee in the morning. This is now "no problem" with the latest technology. Safiery fitted a 10kW Bidirectional Motor Generator in lieu of the 12V alternator. Its 90% efficient compared to old school alternators whether they have diodes or a remote regulator like wakespeed. When motoring out of the harbour, it takes Jaide around 45 mins. In that time 7.5kWh can be added to the battery bank and thats enough energy fr aircon over night. Scotty AI drops the 48V power down to 12V to charge the starter battery and power the 12V loads on the boat. Simple, clean and efficient.

LC79 Canopy High Power 850Ah Solid State Lithium 125A DC DC RGBW Lighting for Defence Support Team

This customer has a fleet of LC79’s providing specialised Landforces support. This is their 3rd vehicle with Safiery. They wanted this build to be flat against the wall to get large pieces of equipment inside the canopy. The setup you see in this video is all the latest tech. Did you know Australian defence insist on Solid State Lithium for new projects and that is exactly what’s in this LC79. The Solid State Lithium stacks so neatly and they have room to expand further if required. These are 48V lithium batteries but the 12V Solid State are the same size case and exactly the same density. The wafers are 190Wh/kg which is 50% higher than most other lithium batteries. They have 2788Wh in each battery. In 12V speak that is 217Ah. The Solid State Lithium batteries have CAN BMS and communicate directly to Victron Cerbo. This is called a "managed battery system" and is the safest lithium available. There is No Shunt used. Shunts are need in "unmanaged systems". (older technology). The Safiery Solid State Lithium have a digital on/off switch that can turn all the batteries off remotely. This is a different concept to a battery isolator. It turns the battery BMS and power board off to give 6 months minimum life when in storage without charging. The LC79 also has Safiery’s STAR-Light (also in the previous 2 trucks with great success) and this time we have RGBW lights that switch from white to red on a double press of the keypad. STAR-light is advanced fuseless as it open circuits in 80 millionths of a second if it detects a short circuit.
We shouldn’t forget to mention the 125A DC DC that perfectly matches the LC79 factory alternator. ScottyAi is now past 800 shipments. This truck is heading out to the desert. -light

Main Benefits of Solid State technology
1) Higher Safety:
The liquid electrolyte in traditional batteries creates safety hazards if over-charging or electrical abuse. The result is thermal runaway and fire. Solid-state batteries have higher safety without this electrolyte mass.
2) Higher Cycle Life:
Because solid-state batteries use solid electrolytes, the cycle life is doubled. A minimum of 10,000 cycles at 80% depth of discharge is expected.
3) High energy density:
As solid-state batteries use solid electrolytes, they do not need to use lithium-intercalated graphite anodes, but directly use metal lithium as the anode, which can reduce the amount of anode materials and increase the energy density of the entire battery.
4) Smaller size:
The separator and electrolyte in the traditional liquid lithium battery account for nearly 25% of the entire battery mass. With the solid electrolyte, the distance between the positive and negative electrodes can be shortened to ten micro-meters. The result is smaller battery dimensions and better quality control.
5) Lower temperature Range:
Solid State Lithium is less affected by freezing temperatures because of the solid layers.
6) High Discharge rate: Solid State Batteries can discharge up to 10C. However, the BMS current rating limits discharge rates to 1C Continuous and 2C for 10 secs.
