On a weekly bases I am having to give bad news that someone has lost there data.

Today in my youtube feed I found an amazing video on preserving your data that details how long storage devices last for.
I always say to keep a 3-2-1 backup solution. 3 copys of your data backup of primary machine and copy using a cloud solution and I one off site.

In this video you will learn just how long data lasts for on differnet types of media from CD's/DVD's to harddrives and Solid state storage. it really doesn't last as long as you think!

well worth watching if you wish to protect your data.
