Tina Eling and I were very honoured to be listed in the techpartner.news Fast 50 list of the fastest growing IT companies in Australia, last night in Sydney. Last year Extreme Networks grew by a solid 19%, we cracked $3,000,000 in revenue for the first time but most importantly, we added 5 awesome people to Team Extreme.

This is a great testimony to all of the great work that our Team does day after day to solve business problems and improve the productivity of over 130 local businesses.

Reasons for growth were a hot topic last night, and we had a few reasons that weren’t very common:
No salespeople – our customers work directly with a small team of systems admins who look after their network.
No contracts – our customers stay with us because they love us.
We love going onsite – too many IT companies don’t want to go onsite to help, but we do!
Great value – some customers are saving 40% of their IT bill compared to their previous IT company. We don’t bundle services, and we tailor services to meet our customers' needs, rather than trying to sell predetermined support packages.
These reasons, and our awesome team, are a big part of the revenue growth last year.

A massive thank you to all of the businesses that partner with us for helping them manage their IT as their companies grow.
Big congrats to our The IT Nation Peer group partners Jess Leong and Alexander Slade from A Corp.

Thanks to William Maher, Jason Po***ck and the techpartner.news team for a great event.

Check out the entire list.

Very excited to be featured in the techpartner.news Fast 50 of the fastest growing IT companies in Australia. This is a testament to the really hard work of Tina Eling and Team Extreme. A huge thank you to the team and, just as importantly, all of the amazing businesses that every day choose us to help them grow their businesses.

The number one reason we have acquired new customers over the last 12 months is business either not getting the on-site support they need, or paying too much for the service they were getting, or both. Our business has been built on providing amazing people to businesses to solve their business problems with technology. No lock-in contracts, flexible support options and regular people who will work with you and your team.

Here is the official announcement.

Last week, James Eling presented at AISA National Conference - the largest Information Security Conference in the Southern Hemisphere.
The topic was "Improving SME Cyber Resilience". With SME Cyber Resilience, the forgotten battleground in Cybersecurity, we didn't expect a big turnout, but we actually good a great crowd, keen to hear about a better way of securing SME networks and data.

James' key points were:
• The goal is to be as secure against the likely risks with the least amount of money.
• Stop the Vendor "Do you want security with that" business model. Applications should be secure by design.
• Use a risk-based approach.
• The Essential 8 is a great start, because it has some great steps, is recognised and used by the Federal Government and uses a risk-based approach
• The are a few skills that the average IT person lacks to do good cybersecurity work. The main area people need to skill up on is in Incident Response. Not hard, but an important skills deficit to address.
• The average Cyber Incident doesn't cost SMEs $50k. The average incident is usually social engineering / Business Email Compromise. Usually sorted for less than $2k +/- notifications for businesses with > $3,000,000 in turnover.
• We still need to plan and prepare for the worst. We defended that companies have fewer cyber issues.
• The Insurance industry is doing a great job of helping with cyber uplift.

Thanks AISA National for a great opportunity to dispel some myths and provide a way forward to improve all of Australia's SMEs Cyber Resilience.

First pictures of our Acer AI and Cyber Technology Update evening. Thank you to all of our amazing customers who came along and made the night what it was. I presented on and where the big opportunities for are, and we looked at taking a risk-based approach to . The best part was all of the great conversations around the tables.

A massive thank you to Ali Lokhandwala and Gaba Cheng for the fantastic support from Acer and George Siapsialis, and the team from Bluechip Infotech. Thank you to for all of the hard work in getting ready for the event and on the night.

Lastly, to Kate and the team at the Frankston Arts Centre. Extreme Networks is not your average IT company, and we wanted to run a local event that wasn't your average event. Having great food served by great people in such a great venue was exactly what we wanted.

We deliver.
Since 1999, Team Extreme has been solving business problems for local business owners.
Unreliable computers and networks
Phone calls are not returned for days on end
No one coming on-site
Being hassled by salespeople and 'account managers' who don't understand your business
Large monthly bills, and you don't know what they are for
Not getting the most out of your IT systems
Not being able to look at your business in a glance and know how well you're doing

These are the reasons why business owners choose Extreme Networks to support over 5,000 PCs and Servers every day.

We deliver.
