Since the idea for the DuGyte had its genesis in Australia and represents the guitarist’s e

quivalent to the microphone snake cable, it’s affably named after a poisonous snake indigenous to Australia. The DuGyte came about because Gerry, one of the founders, whether performed personally as a guitarist setting up his own gear or by his road crew, they would continually get frustrated with having to rollup and layout numerous cables for every performance. Not to mention, the issues associated with sourcing power to the front of the stage from backstage. It was not only time consuming, but small venues made it difficult to keep the myriad of cables organized. Cables strung across the stage got tangled up, pulled out of a socket or two and sometimes presented a safety hazard. Gerry thought there had to be a better way. Although there were “snake” cables in the industry, none of them totally solved the guitarist’s problem. After searching for an existing solution and finding none, Gerry decided to come up with his own. Knowing something better could be done, and placing special focus on reducing the number of cables and making the power easier and more readily available at the pedalboard, the DuGyte product was born. Personal experience and knowledge of the music industry both from a touring and performing perspective helped shape the design, application, and operation of the DuGyte range of products. Our goal is that DuGyte Systems products play true for you, so you can “Think less and play more!”

Hi folks, it's been a little while since we have posted, with the pandemic and it's aftermath, with touring musicians and production crew hit extremely hard worldwide.

From Norm’s daughter

I know this may come as a shock to people because we’ve kept it somewhat private, but my dad was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer. We really just didn’t want to talk about it, have to answer questions or give it too much life, so we’ve just been pretending that it’s not happening.

Tuesday was my dad’s surgery and it was 14 hours long and included something called a chemo bath, which will HOPEFULLY help him avoid having to do chemo.

On top of everything he’s been through with the surgery - two nights later, he had a widow-maker heart attack.

My poor mom is drained, we both are. We just feel helpless and overwhelmed.

When my dad is awake and in pain, he likes it when we brush his hair or rub his feet. It’s the only thing we can do aside from just being here with him - to relieve his anxiety.

I’m hoping that people don’t take this the wrong way, but we can’t really handle all the phone calls and texts. We’re just trying to get through each day at the moment. ❤️
