Christmas shopping season is also peak season for fake delivery texts. They claim you missed a parcel and ask for a small "redelivery fee" through a link.

Before you tap anything:
1️⃣ Did you actually order something?
2️⃣ Is the link a strange web address, not the courier's own?
3️⃣ Is it asking for payment or card details? Real couriers rarely do.
Don't tap the link. Open the courier's official app or website yourself and check your tracking number there.

Caught one? Report it at scamwatch.gov.au.

Handing out your main Wi-Fi password to every visitor, tradesperson, or house-sitter isn't ideal — a guest network solves that neatly.

1️⃣ Log into your router settings (usually by typing its IP address into a browser — check the sticker on the router itself)
2️⃣ Look for "Guest Network" or "Guest Wi-Fi" in the settings
3️⃣ Turn it on, give it its own name and password
4️⃣ Share that instead of your main password from now on
Your main network stays private, and guests still get online without a fuss.
