Technology seems to be changing faster than ever in 2026.
Whether you're a home user or running a business, you've probably noticed the growing use of AI tools, more online services, and unfortunately, more scams and cyber security threats.
Some of the most common issues I'm seeing include:
🔹 Scam emails and text messages becoming much more convincing.
🔹 People receiving phone calls from scammers pretending to be banks, government departments, Microsoft, or other trusted organisations.
🔹 Old computers struggling to keep up with newer software and security requirements.
🔹 Important files not being backed up properly.
🔹 Uncertainty around AI tools such as ChatGPT, Co-pilot, and Gemini, including what information should and shouldn't be shared with them.
The good news is that you don't need to be a technology expert to stay protected. A few simple steps such as keeping software updated, using strong passwords, enabling multi-factor authentication, and maintaining good backups can significantly reduce your risk.
