My new little side quest - incl talking raven and shirtless guy with a lute. 😆 I’ve picked up this little art deco table from a lovely couple. It’s such a little beauty underneath all the old varnish! Love seeing its transformation.

Grevillea ‘Ivory Whip’
I’ve had this black paper pad for a quite a while and now finally found the perfect plant to draw this on.
This is a Grevillea ‘Ivory Whip’ I’ve seen at the Mt Annan Botanic Gardens I think it’s very pretty 😍

Digitalis purpurea - Foxglove
While I’ve been sitting around waiting for a meeting to start I’ve been putting some new colour pencils to practice. And also made use of my copics to give the colours a bit more punch!
Notable insight to this little beauty - Foxglove - every part of this plant is poisonous. ☠️ But apparently they also make heart meds from this. Just don’t try make your own. (There is always one that needs a warning ‼️)

Grevillea ‘Winter Wonder’ (Grevillea lanigera)

Grevillea sericea
As mentioned a few drawings coming your way while I’m retraining my left hand to not be such a stiff.
My colour pencil and ink drawing depicts the Grevillea sericea, known as the Pink Spider Flower. Grevilleas are super pretty and there so many versions here I can keep drawing for while. I’ve used ai to remove shadows from danky ‘iPhone photo in the loungeroom with bad lighting’ - not because I can’t use photoshop but because I want to just concentrate on drawing.

Grevillea banksii
It’s a bit of a bu**er when you break a bone in your dominant hand (…again… don’t ask) - so some fine motor skills need a bit of help. Coloured pencil and ink pen.
