Is your Wi-Fi slow in the back rooms?
Before upgrading your internet plan, check your Wi-Fi coverage. Many Wi-Fi issues are caused by distance, walls, and poor signal rather than the internet connection itself.
-Place your modem/router in a central location
-Keep it away from metal objects, TVs and thick walls
-Use the correct Wi-Fi network (2.4GHz for range, 5GHz for speed)
-Restart your modem/router occasionally
For larger homes and businesses, the most reliable solution is often to run a network cable to the back rooms and install:
-A network switch for wired devices
-A dedicated Wi-Fi Access Point (AP) for stronger wireless coverage
While Wi-Fi extenders can help in some situations, they often reduce performance and may not provide the same reliability as a properly cabled Access Point solution.
