Good news everyone! I'm running an 8 week class on how to make comics at Cairns Art Gallery!

In addition to writing, pencilling, inking, colouring and lettering, we'll be covering a lot of supporting (but supef useful) stuff from fight scene choreography to character and environment design.

Happening this Friday!

Hey peeps.

I'm running a monthly after school Comics and Manga Club at Atherton Library on the 4th Friday of every month.

We start each session like a reading club, then follow it up with a presentation on Comics and Manga history, then I teach a short art lesson.

Kids are encouraged to suggest themes for the monthly presentations, and club members are more than welcome to ask for tutorials on all aspects of drawing, comics techniques, digital art, animation techniques, and even tips on film making!

If you know of any Tablelands kids who'd be interested, then please message me or contact Atherton Library for all the details!

Hi all. I've been out of mobile range for the past couple of days but I just wanted to give a big thanks to everyone who came to this month's Anime and Manga Club at Smithfield Library!

I can't wait to see you all again next month and I am keen to see some fresh faces too!

If you have any ideas for the club, be sure to pop them in the suggestion box at the front counter and if you'd like to put your art on display, we are in the process of building a club Art Wall at the library too.

Anime and Manga Club is back on for 2024!

Join me at Smithfield Library on Tuesday 13th February at 3.30 PM for our first meetup.

We'll be chatting about the titles we've been watching and reading, doing deep dives into the history of manga and anime, checking out new and upcoming releases, and even drawing some of our own!

It's set to be a fun one this year, and I can't wait to get the ball rolling!

Ages 10 and up.

Learn to self-publish your own Zine! When you’ve got a story to tell, some art to showcase, or you just need an outlet for your creativity, then ZINES are the way to go!
