Complexity of global border compliance is a daily news story. The responsibility of the traveller to ensure they meet all requirements presents the mainstream traveller with enormous friction. Coupled with changes on a daily basis, manually searching and staying informed is time-consuming and becomes complex to manage.

Our bet to help unravel this is based on our Patent, goPassport will provide guidance to travellers and ensure that their with Government Health Policy is "visible".

By providing real-time guidance to travellers well before the check-in process, ensures travellers have a high degree of confidence they have met all requirements to proceed on their journey.

It's not just that you need to be vaccinated and tested. There are extra forms and unexpected requirements and it all takes much longer.

UPDATED: ✈️ Want to travel overseas but not sure about the rules?

Fully vaccinated citizens and permanent residents (and their immediate family) can now fly into NSW without having to quarantine:

• You need to be double vaccinated with a recognised COVID-19 vaccine, or be accompanied by someone 18+ who has if you’re under 12 years old
• If you meet the vaccination and the Australian Government pre-departure testing requirements you can leave the airport as normal
• Within 24 hours of arriving in NSW, you must have a COVID-19 nose and throat PCR test.
• Get another test on or after day 7 after arriving in NSW. You don’t have to isolate while waiting for your results, unless you have symptoms. Until you get a negative result from your day 7 test you can’t go to any high-risk settings such as aged care, disability care, healthcare and correctional facilities. Different rules apply to children under 12 who are unvaccinated.
• If you develop any symptoms of COVID-19 at any time while in NSW, you must immediately get tested for COVID-19 and isolate until you receive a negative result.

The Australian Government are preparing to reopen Australia's international borders. Be sure to read the below information if you're an Aussie planning to return home who was vaccinated overseas. ✈️💉

As Australia’s border progressively reopens from 1 November 2021, more favourable entry rules may apply to certain inbound travellers who can prove they are fully vaccinated.

Travellers who got their vaccinations overseas, and don’t have them recorded on the Australian Immunisation Register will be required to present a foreign-issued vaccination certificate. Find out more about presenting proof of your COVID-19 vaccinations if you have been vaccinated overseas.

GoPassport met with the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet Response Taskforce in Canberra in June/July to discuss the role our type of technology has in supporting the roadmap to reopening Australia safely. It's encouraging to see conversations continuing and solutions progressing within the Australian Government.

Proof of vaccination will soon become part of life domestically as well with some states working to add vaccine certificates to check-in apps.
