Creative Tech Village

Creative Tech Village We spotlight innovation, identify emerging technologies, and grow entrepreneurial and startup ecosystems in creative technologies.

The Creative Tech Village is a place where creativity and technology collide to bring together innovation and collaboration, supported by the WA Government, New Industries Fund and Edith Cowan University (ECU). The Village is about connecting the creative community to commercialisation opportunities and creating cross-collaboration with creative entrepreneurs and technologists. We want to celebrate creativity through an outreach connector model to link creative tech spaces, studios, research, education and training, with creatives, businesses, and resources throughout Western Australia and internationally.

CTV's Green Room podcast took to a live stage when Stormie Mills came to BLAB - Home of CTV as part of the City of Bunbury's Mookaro-k Winter series. While Stormie had been in Perth for his The Art Gallery of Western Australia - AGWA exhibition, he graciously revisited "The Journey" as we lit up the mural on the Arrios Buiilding that he created as part of Andrew Frazer Designs' 6230 : RESDISCOVER. Mat Lewis nervously interviewed the legend and thanks to Maddison Studios and the CTV team for Carissa, Dee, and Peter for making it happen. Supported by the City of Bunbury as part of WAVEFORMS.

Regional founders, this one is for you.

Running a business in the South West is brilliant. It is also lonely, relentless, and very easy to burn out in quietly, with nobody noticing until you’re flat.

Creative Ground is a day to slow down with people who get it, and leave with tools you can actually use on Monday.

Creative Ground: Resilience and Wellbeing for Regional Founders

Tuesday 20 October, Stirling Street Arts Centre, Bunbury
Thursday 22 October, Tanah Marah, Margaret River
10am to 2pm both days

Creative Corner members attend free. Non-members are $35. Spaces are limited, so don’t wait until the last week to book.

Register through the link in the post above.

Running a creative business in the South West? This one's for every regional founder who's been meaning to look after themselves "once things calm down."

Need somewhere to work, meet or make some noise? {B}Lab has you covered.

Our co-working space sits on the ground floor of the Bunbury Library on Parkfield Street, right in the C*D. Hot desks are $25 a day with fast wifi, plug and play workstations, a kitchenette and a proper coffee machine. Some of the best cafes in town are a short walk away.

Running a workshop or small meeting? Our breakout and event spaces start from $55 a day, with flexible furniture and a big screen conference setup.

And for the musicians and podcasters, our recording studio starts from $95 an hour. You'll work with a production manager from Maddison Studios on recording, mixing, mastering and artist development.

Community and not-for-profit rates may apply. Book through SpacetoCo or get in touch at [email protected]

Step inside BLAB - Home of CTV with Mat.

This is where Bunbury businesses come to co-create with creatives instead of just hiring them and hoping for the best.

Need a podcast recorded, a jingle nailed, or sound sorted properly for your brand? Producer Maddison Studios runs professional sound engineering right here in the space, for music and podcasts alike.

{B}LAB is part of Creative Tech Village, WA's state-wide network for creative collaboration and production. The good ideas don't have to leave Bunbury to get made.
