STARTING A BUSINESS - the adventure of a lifetime.

Hi guys, if you’re new here, I’m Isaac Whitton.
My first experience with a computer was playing old games on my mother’s graphic design PC from the late 90s. By the time I was in my double-digits, I was obsessed with these complex machines. Computers and technology have always been a natural interest and skill of mine.

One of the many things that doesn’t come naturally to me? Business.

In early 2024, I moved to Brisbane from my home town of 2,000 in FNQ and replanted my tiny, 4-month-old business (which had a client base of 2). I then began spending hours of my evenings and weekends advertising, building my client base, building websites and growing my IT skills.
I learned everything I know about running a business from my mother, my housemate and some videos I found online. What have I learned? Starting a business is one of the most adventurous things you can do.

In the last year, I have learned and grown immensely and met some of the most interesting people I will ever meet. Teaming up with incredible businesses, getting to know so many fascinating entrepreneurs and being a part of the inner workings of so many passion projects has been one of the most exhilarating experiences of my life. The hours can be long, but when you do what you love, you enjoy every moment. Almost.

Thank you to all of you who I have had a chance to speak to and get to know in this last year - my first year in business has been a challenge, but so, so worth it.
