While I enjoy the life of the media fashion world through iModel Fashion.
The audio-visual world has been my passion since my days working at a roller skating rink, where I managed and learned how to DJ and many other things and was introduced to the world of music and audio-visual. Mind you, we were using videotapes and records.
These days, I perform A/V installations for a living. It's not bad playing in different worlds.

Over years of working in electrical fire protection and audio-visual
I have worked with many sparkies. Some were apprentices, and some were tradie qualified.
Then, over the years, we move on and lose touch. I have been lucky enough to reconnect with some of them as a subcontractor installing PA systems for them.
One bloke who was an apprentice just as I started on the tools was funny and very fit.
On site today, one of the fire guys said something about a person who was an apprentice when I first started. So I rang him, and he said yes, Ricey, I'm still alive, though I have been diagnosed with prostate cancer.
Now, he is a very fit and healthy bloke who went to the doctor as he was losing weight, and he is built like a brick house.
So his message was very clear: go and get a health check. As we blokes always say, she be right, it will go away.
He could not be any more straight with me. Just go and get checked for everything. As he said, he had no symptoms but just losing weight.
Blokes, it's time to connect with your doctor, like it or not.
