🏆 What a weekend for Team Obzervr at the Queensland Corporate Games!

Obzervr participated in Australia's largest annual multi-sport workplace championship — and we showed up across four events: golf, indoor go-karting, badminton, and soccer 6s.

⛳ Golf — Mitch Bryant represented on the fairway

🏎️ Indoor Go Karting — Melissa Sidara took 🥈 in the ladies' comp, with Tanmay Dave flying the flag in the men's category

🏸 Badminton — Annie George & Janette claimed 🥇 in women's doubles, Gloria Cheah & Mel took 🥉, and Hazeem Suffian & Shixun Li competed in the men's competition

⚽ Soccer 6s — From stone last in 2025 to 4th out of 25 teams in 2026

The soccer squad won four straight games in the group stage, then played two knockout rounds back-to-back — both drawn 2-2, both going to penalties — they left absolutely nothing left in the tank.

Six games. Four hours of football. Every bit of heart left on the pitch.

Well done to the soccer squad - Marc Walter, Rowan Walter, Lior Twina, Annie George, Nahir Saddi, Hazeem Suffian, Marko Tatarevic, Tanmay Dave, Ahmed Naim, and Melissa Sidara — and a huge thank you to Nicholas Tnay, Gloria Cheah, and Tania Devoti for cheering everyone home. 🧡

Recently, our team spent time on site at two of Anglo American's steelmaking coal mining operations in Queensland. Anglo American are a long standing client of ours, and it was great to be back on the ground with their teams.

Juan Berisso and Nicholas Tnay visited the Capcoal and Dawson mining sites to run training sessions with maintenance teams and gather firsthand feedback on how Obzervr’s Digital Work Management Solution is being used in the field. 👷‍♂️

By sitting down directly with technicians, supervisors, reliability engineers and maintenance leaders we were able to understand what's working, identify operational gaps, and define clear next steps to improve adoption and data quality across both sites.

The best outcomes come from listening to the people doing the work — and there's no substitute for being there in person.

Thank you to the Anglo American team at Capcoal and Dawson for the warm welcome and the open, honest conversations. We're excited to keep supporting your journey toward greater efficiency, insight, and digital excellence. 🤝

Huge thanks also to Juan Berisso and Nic Tnay for representing Obzervr on the ground. 👊

Maintenance supervisors shouldn't have to hunt for work exceptions! 👷‍♂️ So how can mining organisations surface what truly needs attention?

When maintenance teams are already stretched thin, the last thing a maintenance supervisor needs to be doing is spending hours per day manually reviewing EVERY work order to find the ones that actually need attention and action.

That’s where Obzervr's exception management capability comes in - it helps mining maintenance teams simplify their day-to-day work and reduce paperwork and admin. When work orders and inspections go smoothly and as planned, field technicians can complete them digitally via the Obzervr Frontline Mobile App without noting any exceptions, and the work order flows through an automated process with minimal supervisor intervention.

When an issue or defect is detected during maintenance work, field technicians can quickly flag it in Obzervr’s Frontline Mobile App and add any photos, videos and notes for context. The flagged work order is then instantly escalated to the maintenance supervisor via the Obzervr Supervisor Portal.

For supervisors, this means they can quickly review and manage only the work that truly needs attention without switching tools or screens. Using the single dashboard view in Obzervr's Supervisor Portal, they can complete bulk actions on exceptions such as updating the status or assigning the exception - allowing faster resolution of common issues and helping supervisors save up to 4 hours per day in paperwork and admin.

What's the cost of unused asset health data in mining and heavy industry?

During a typical service, a mining and heavy industry field technician records about 15–20 asset readings – everything from engine hours, to fire suppression pressure, to gap clearances.

Each and every reading has been scrutinised and identified as a key indicator of asset health over the years.

However, when these readings are recorded in the field manually (and on sheets of paper), only a few pieces of this data are entered into your ERP or CMMS due to time/cost of rekeying this data – not to mention the risk of rekeying errors.

Most of this pivotal data is quickly scanned visually by supervisors and filed away – trapped, unsearchable, and unusable in its current form.

What could be possible if your site could access years' worth of asset health data collected from the field?

Digital maintenance solutions that are integrated with critical business systems, help improve operations by evaluating notifications and exceptions by asset, asset type and location. You can also use this technology to plot trends, predict the future, and analyse the conditions leading up to a potential critical asset failure, as just one example.

You already have the data – your technicians have painstakingly collected this valuable information over the years. All you need is a proven approach and the right technology to turn this information into powerful, game-changing insights that are actionable in real-time.

What to know more about how to unlock asset health insights and make the digital collection of this critical information easy and more accessible? Visit obzervr.com a 30-minute demo and discovery session with our team via obzervr.com

Fiona leads Obzervr’s Professional Services Team, ensuring projects are delivered with strong governance, clear structure, and a strong focus on customer outcomes. We sat down with Fiona to ask a few questions.

❓ Why did you join Obzervr?

I joined Obzervr because of the meaningful impact the product has on frontline workers in asset-intensive industries. I was also drawn to the opportunity to help strengthen delivery capability as the business scales — building solid foundations, teams, and ways of working that support both our customers and our people.

🎯 What does success in your role look like?

Success looks like predictable, high-quality delivery for our customers, empowered project teams who understand expectations, and clear, repeatable processes that help the business scale sustainably. Ultimately, it’s about delivering value while building trust — internally and externally.

💪 What is your greatest strength at work?

Bringing structure and clarity to complex situations. I enjoy turning ambiguity into clear plans, aligning stakeholders, and supporting teams to move forward with confidence — particularly on large, high-impact programs.

🌱 Which of Obzervr’s core values resonates with you most, and why?

Owner Mindset.

I strongly connect with taking ownership of outcomes, not just tasks. For me, this means being proactive, accountable, and always focused on delivering real impact. When teams take ownership, we make better decisions, manage risks earlier, and deliver stronger outcomes for our customers.

✨ Tell us a surprising or fun fact about you

Outside of work, I enjoy hosting family and friends, planning gatherings, and bringing people together over good food. I also love staying active and value quality time with my family — it’s how I recharge and stay grounded.

📣Today we’re excited to announce the launch of Frontline — our next-generation mobile app for mining and heavy industry maintenance teams.

Frontline replaces our long-standing Capture App as the field mobility application within the Obzervr Digital Work Management platform. For over a decade, Capture has been the trusted tool for thousands of technicians, supervisors, and asset maintenance planners across mining and heavy industry. Frontline is the next chapter.

Built on a modern technology platform, Frontline delivers meaningful improvements to the day-to-day experience of field technicians — faster syncing, a cleaner interface, streamlined work order navigation, and new features including video capture, hyperlink access to reference materials, and a quick-access home screen designed to get teams moving faster at the start of every shift.

The launch is about more than new features. Frontline provides the technology foundations needed to support our additions of future advanced capabilities in the future — including AI integrations and new connectivity options — as our customers continue their own digital transformation journeys.

🧡 Yesterday, we celebrated Harmony Day — and what a celebration it was!

Our team came together to honour Australia’s incredible cultural diversity, with each person bringing a dish that reflects where they come from. In total, the team brought 27 dishes. But it wasn’t just about the food. As we gathered, each person shared the story behind their dish and a little piece of their culture with the rest of the team.

From cherished family recipes to flavours from across the globe, every dish came with a story, and every story reminded us how much richer we are because of our differences.

Harmony Day is about inclusion, respect, and belonging. It’s about creating a space where every background, culture, and story is welcomed and valued. Yesterday, we felt every bit of that. 🌏
