In September, our team spent three days on site with Agnico Eagle Mines Limited at the Fosterville Gold Mine near Bendigo, VIC, running hands-on training with their maintenance supervisors, planners, forepersons and tradespersons. 👷‍♂️

Five years into our partnership, the focus has shifted. It's no longer about getting forms off paper. It's about helping the site's own people run and improve their work management.

The training ran in three streams:
🔹 Supervisors moved onto exception management in the Obzervr Supervisor Portal, working from a dashboard of what needs attention rather than checking whether paperwork got filled in
🔹 Tradespersons got hands-on with the Frontline Mobile App
🔹 Planners and forepersons learnt to build their own preventive maintenance templates in Work Designer and read their own analytics

The Frontline Mobile App was a highlight. Crews are keen to use its new features, especially video capture for condition monitoring, as video records the motion and sound of equipment. Those videos are also viewable in Pronto, the site's enterprise resource planning system, so the value carries beyond Obzervr.

What began in 2021 as a pilot of Obzervr's Digital Work Management Solution with the Fixed Plant team is now used by close to 200 users across surface and underground maintenance.

⭐ As one maintenance supervisor shared, new crew pick up Obzervr within weeks, and "quality of work orders and work requests exploded. Smooth and simple to implement and use. Would recommend Obzervr to any future site I work at." A technician added, "Wouldn't have been able to onboard 6 new fitters as easily without Obzervr." ⭐

Not everything a mining maintenance technician does on shift is contained within a work order.

In mining and heavy industry, a computerised maintenance management system (CMMS) or ERP like SAP, Pronto or JD Edwards holds the maintenance data: the asset register, the schedule, the work order history. But equipment pre-starts, safety take-5s, permits, environmental inspections and quality checks all have to be done too, and none of them are managed in the CMMS.

That's how sites end up with digitised work orders on one side and paper-based forms for everything else, with technicians switching between systems to get through their shift.

💛 Taking part in R U OK Day matters a lot to the team at Obzervr, because at the core of our mission is to support and empower those around us with the knowledge and technology that makes their work easier and safer, whether that's our colleagues, our mining and heavy industry clients, or their frontline teams. Looking out for each other starts with a conversation.

For teams working across sites, workshops and depots, a lot can get missed in a busy shift, so this week we're building in some small, deliberate pauses to check in with each other. Today, that means a morning tea, complete with R U OK cupcakes and a gratitude and wellbeing journal for everyone to take away. It's one part of a week of practical wellbeing actions we're also running for Women's Health Week.

🏆 What a weekend for Team Obzervr at the Queensland Corporate Games!

Obzervr participated in Australia's largest annual multi-sport workplace championship — and we showed up across four events: golf, indoor go-karting, badminton, and soccer 6s.

⛳ Golf — Mitch Bryant represented on the fairway

🏎️ Indoor Go Karting — Melissa Sidara took 🥈 in the ladies' comp, with Tanmay Dave flying the flag in the men's category

🏸 Badminton — Annie George & Janette claimed 🥇 in women's doubles, Gloria Cheah & Mel took 🥉, and Hazeem Suffian & Shixun Li competed in the men's competition

⚽ Soccer 6s — From stone last in 2025 to 4th out of 25 teams in 2026

The soccer squad won four straight games in the group stage, then played two knockout rounds back-to-back — both drawn 2-2, both going to penalties — they left absolutely nothing left in the tank.

Six games. Four hours of football. Every bit of heart left on the pitch.

Well done to the soccer squad - Marc Walter, Rowan Walter, Lior Twina, Annie George, Nahir Saddi, Hazeem Suffian, Marko Tatarevic, Tanmay Dave, Ahmed Naim, and Melissa Sidara — and a huge thank you to Nicholas Tnay, Gloria Cheah, and Tania Devoti for cheering everyone home. 🧡

Recently, our team spent time on site at two of Anglo American's steelmaking coal mining operations in Queensland. Anglo American are a long standing client of ours, and it was great to be back on the ground with their teams.

Juan Berisso and Nicholas Tnay visited the Capcoal and Dawson mining sites to run training sessions with maintenance teams and gather firsthand feedback on how Obzervr’s Digital Work Management Solution is being used in the field. 👷‍♂️

By sitting down directly with technicians, supervisors, reliability engineers and maintenance leaders we were able to understand what's working, identify operational gaps, and define clear next steps to improve adoption and data quality across both sites.

The best outcomes come from listening to the people doing the work — and there's no substitute for being there in person.

Maintenance supervisors shouldn't have to hunt for work exceptions! 👷‍♂️ So how can mining organisations surface what truly needs attention?

When maintenance teams are already stretched thin, the last thing a maintenance supervisor needs to be doing is spending hours per day manually reviewing EVERY work order to find the ones that actually need attention and action.
