Happy Earth Day!

Us here at Entwined are always thinking of positive ways we can impact the Earth through our business. We have developed an internal environmental policy focused around three areas of sustainability, they are:

Polystyrene Recycling
We use eCycle for our polystyrene recycling. As a priority concern, we aim to reduce the amount of expanded polystyrene (EPS) heading to landfills, as the Australian packaging covenant mandates that packaging waste be removed from landfills by 2025.

ChromeOS to reduce power and waste
With our ChromeOS media player range, we make a positive impact by reducing standard media players' power usage from 40% to 70% and ensuring a 5-year warranty to ensure longer asset lifetime usage.

LED screens are getting smarter
We went in search of a manufacturer who adopted the best principles in both power usage and reliability to substantially change the attitude towards LED screens that have been traditionally deployed. We selected a supplier that can supply a 5-year warranty on their range, produces significantly less heat, reduces the need for air conditioning to work overtime in a retail environment due to the heat load of traditional LED screens, and also have a reduced power draw.

So, together, we can make a meaningful impact and make the world a more sustainable place.

Coming off our recent win as the “Customer and Partner Support” at the Digital Signage Awards in Barcelona, we thought we might delve into how we won the award and the end results for Optus Bourke Street.

Our digital signage solution encompassed a range of enhancements, including the deployment of 40 square meters of LED displays, 10.5 square meters of LCD screens distributed across 31 individual endpoints, and carefully integrated curated audio elements.

The store greets customers with new experiential, immersive and revolutionising in-store experiences across six interactive zones:
