Big day for the team at PDR GROUP!
We've officially taken delivery of the new ARES, and we're proud to say PDR is the first in Queensland to get our hands on one.
This morning, Chris Dowd joined us in our yard and ran a session out of our office with our drill crew, taking them through the system and its capabilities.
It was a great hands-on introduction and a solid opportunity for the team to get across the new tech straight away.
Safe to say there were a few DCI fan boys in the room today, plenty of big smiles going around as the crew got a look at what the new system can do.
It's clear this system is going to take our operations up a level, giving us the ability to push greater depths, hold tighter tolerances, and improve overall accuracy across our HDD works.
A big thanks to Chris for his time and support, and to DCI for continuing to back their gear with real, on-the-ground training and support. Having that level of backing behind the equipment makes a big difference when you're out delivering in the field.
The ARES system is a serious step forward in guidance technology, with stronger signal performance and enhanced real-time data for both the operator and the locator. For us, that means more confidence in challenging ground conditions and better for our clients.
We're always investing in better gear and upskilling our crew, and this is another step forward.
Looking forward to putting it to work across upcoming projects.
