Dale at TheMediaVault and I have been working together for years. We recently hatched a plan to buy some busted GameBoys for rebuild and mods.

RIP PS5 EDM-010

ERROR CODE 80810001

Ps5 came in for beep on, 2 second powerloss.

Under thermal camera I found indicated IC was briefly glowing. Found a short.
I know this is part of the APU circuit, check APU and found a hairline crack across the dye.

Not repairable but I'll know for the next error that matches.

Ps5 EDM-020 DIGI
Console powers on, after 5 minutes in game console flickers before crashing shortly after.
No error code in system
Uart error codes

When testing, indicated RAM were 10°C above the rest.

Replaced RAM

Console works! Tested overnight with no crashing.

Very happy with this repair.
