News alert!

With the surge of AI, Amazon are in the plans to build their own dedicated Small Modular Reactor, nuclear power dedicated to powering AI based data centres.

The article states, even with significant hurdles, in the US alone, power requirements are expected to triple by 2030, with 9 percent of the US grid dedicated to AI Data Centres.

Interesting read. Do you think nuclear is the way forward in Australia or should we continue the investment in renewables?

As a fun project, I used some aftermarket overrides and installed MacOS onto an unsupported MacBook Pro.

While never supported by Apple, I was successfully able to get a fully functional install of MacOS released 4 years ago onto a 2011 MacBook Pro!

Normally relegated to the bin, newer software now runs on this Mac and hopefully it will get a few more years of life!

While it’s been a while between updates, I am still providing support and PC services to the community.

Today, this gaming laptop was running badly with terrible performance and generally unusable.

A full internal dust removal and repasting of thermal paste resulted in brining this laptop back to glory days.

Another tax time gaming pc completed!

Full AMD budget build this time!
AMD 7600X
32GB Low latency DDR5 RAM
AMD 9060XT 16gb gaming card

While fitting within the budget, a full ARGB setup with a true 16gb graphics card was used to get that extra 15 percent more gaming performance.

All maximum gaming modes for CPU and graphics activated! Seamless and definitely one of the speediest PCs I’ve built on within budget!

New post!

This computer has had a Frankenstein kind of life! Its owner had built water cooling, done metal work and kind of pick a part pc! Impressive work!

After a 5070 install deemed too new for the older parts, a teardown, new parts, drain and removal of water cooling, install of AIO and test!

Intel Ultra 7 265K with 32gb DDR5 RAM, MSI motherboard I think the upgrade will be amazing.

After a very necessary bios update, now it’s working well!

I haven’t done complete testing on it but the Thermalright AIO is keeping temps very low!

This old case has a bit more life left in her!

Did you know!

Older computers are capable of being upgraded to high end gaming computers.

This customer is running a much older Zen 3 architecture from 4 years ago. The CPU was upgraded to a Ryzen 7 5800x3D which is still considered one of the best gaming CPUs available!

Add a decent cooling solution and this will be good for years to come!

A continuation of the previous gaming pc compilation, the GeForce 5080 was finally released 2 days ago to market. With AI features from the upgraded DLSS4 and 16gb GDDR7, this is one of the best gaming cards available ever!

I managed to finish this build off yesterday! Look at the sheer size of the unit compared to a 3070!

Such a pleasure working with the latest and greatest technology!
