Design & Opinion was founded by Katherine Hall in 2011 after a decade of helping large publications and corporate clients communicate better. A recent project for Central Coast Council, creating historical photo boards for Umina Library.

Each panel focuses on a different aspect of local history — from wartime activity to beach culture and everyday life on the Peninsula. The boards are designed to catch attention from a distance, but reward closer inspection as well.

One of the things I enjoyed most about this project was learning more about the place I’ve lived and worked in for the past 15+ years, and seeing how much it’s changed — but also how much has stayed the same

Also very satisfying: driving past the building every other day and seeing people stop to look at something I made ☺️

I’ve been working with on this year’s tee design, which has just been announced. As well as investing myself creatively in this event, I’m also putting my body on the line — I’m running the 100km ultra (yes, you read that right).

Will I finish, or will I DNF in spectacular fashion?

At least if I’m wearing this tee, my fashion will be spectacular either way 🥴
