We had a really good time providing sound and lighting for the High Vibes stage at Nimbin Mardi Grass last weekend!

It was the widest we've ever run our tops. about 25 metres apart, which resulted in a pretty interesting sound stage.

We got the green light to go full psychedelic wonderland with the lighting, working with Brad from IzWoz Art who creates the gobo's (the images) for our art projectors.

Brad is also responsible for the awesome flags around the dancefloor.

Next play space will be Riversounds in Bellingen Showgrounds next weekend (15th/16th of May) - we will be doing sound and lighting in the boiler room stage, and providing a stretch structure for one of the other stages.

Then Meridians ft Sensient in Bellingen Memorial hall back studio (23rd May) - we will be bringing sound in.

And then Love Fest at Arcoora (Near Kyogle NSW) - a great event that provides a drug and alcohol free space with a community family friendly vibe, in an absolutely amazing space.

Also we now have an extra stretch tent for hire! In addition to our 10 x 15m tent, we now have a 20 x 15m tent - pics attached!

Both of these tents are great standalone, or can be joined up to make a mega 450 square metre covered area.

Hey friends of the Northern rivers and beyond... We are sharing this gig that I'm involved with this coming saturday night @ Slash Warehouse in Byron industrial estate.

Feat Dub FX (a pioneer in live looping, he was one of the first that got the ball rolling for this performance style across the world)

ANDY V - who is in the same league as Dub FX, also an absolutely insane musician and talented live looper, will be playing.

Aaaaand one of our favourite bands - Juman & the Baywatch Riddim Squad - this merry band of musicians with a litterally out of this world female lead vocalist, brought tears to my eyes many times during their set at Earth Freq, and I will never ever forget that..

Ontop of all this, they will be amplifying their sounds through our delicious Void Acoustics / JPJ Wayloud system.

We don't take up sharing this airspace lightly.... so thankyou for reading

Last weekend we had the pleasure of delivering and operating our favourite sound system, to Condong Bowls Club - an unusual location, the main stage being in the carpark of the venue, with a sugarmill/power station in the background - but it all added to the Strayngeness of the event!

Things got pretty serious! ramping up to some seriously psychedelic full on trance by the end of the night, which was generously allowed to run until 2am.

After 10 years of doofs, bars, weddings, birthdays and everything in between.... some of our powered speakers end up lookin' a bit worse for wear.

The story these speakers could tell......

We gotta give it to QSC - these things have been virtually indestructible, and sound pretty darn good at the same time.... so much mud, spilt alcoholic drinks from venue use, and redlining DJ's.... and they still show-up for work everyday without complaint.

Unfortunately their newer models aren't standing the test of time (or for the ear unfortunately) so we are slowly upgrading all of our powered inventory to Yamaha's DZR range.

That being said, the old QSC gear that we have, deserves some love, and after our Void speakers getting a full refurbish and paint at the end of last year, it was time for the QSC's and to be freshened up for many more years of entertainment.

Did you know? Along side providing awesome sound and lighting, We also have a couple of stretch tents available for hire!

One is 12m x 15m, 180sqm, good for around 140 people to be covered standing up

The other one is 15m x 20m, 300sqm good for around 270 people standing

Winter solstice.... traditionally a time to go within... but instead, we went out, and honoured the longest night of the year by deploying a tasty old school system at Sonic Bloom event in Nimbin Bush Theatre.

Good vibes... good music... good food at an awesome venue

Up in the air, flown from the roof of the theatre, we had rigged 2 x Turbosound TQ440 per side... pretty essential for a crowd like this, flying the top boxes high above peoples heads, always gives an impressive result.

And down in front, taking on the body moving frequencies (and acting as drink holders) we had 6 x JBL 4645c... straight outta Bankstown cinema.... these subs were recently destined for the bin... and dozens of its family ended up there, but thanks to Faolan Føxtrøt from Foxtrot productions... finding these babies, thetr are now (12 of em) out and about to bring bass to hungry hippies.

This is a new (but old) offering from us... and is based in the Northern Rivers for easier access to gigs up this way.

So good to have the new back room they have built at the Bellingen Memorial Hall.

Great for sound, and heaps of good gigs happening here all the time.

Heavy, dense theatre curtains can be pulled around to cover any wall; there’s proper acoustic treatment on the roof and a concrete floor, which results in extra decibels from the subs. Nice dance stacks that we deployed for a psychedelic techno/trance event in Bellingen called Meridians, in the amazing back room of the Memorial Hall.

The acoustics in this room are superb.
