B01415 - Fixed QRemote Server constantly printing the following log "Ping from client socket object" in the event log. Added Keep-Alive feature. (v350)
B01606 - Changed DSN name to read-only for QRemote DSN.
B01609 - The encryption key has been updated to the maximum limit of 50 characters, the DSN name has been changed to a limit of 32 characters, and the port has been set to a limit of 5.
B01629 - Changed QRemote Client DSN to not to show QRemote DSN in the Remote DSN dropdown.

Tech Tip: Upgrading Reckon Accounts means upgrading QODBC as well!


The #1 reason why customers contact our Support Desk is to report that QODBC stops working after installing a new or upgraded version of Reckon Accounts. It is important to remember that when you purchase a CD-Key to activate QODBC, you are purchasing a license for the version of QODBC supporting the current version of Reckon Accounts available at that time, and back to the earliest version listed on the web site and the help system.

For example, if you bought QODBC for Reckon Accounts 2020, it will work with that version of Reckon Accounts, as well as the previous ones listed on our web site. If you upgrade to Reckon Accounts 2021, QODBC will no longer work and you will have to purchase a CD-Key for QODBC for Reckon Accounts 2021.

Because either Intuit and Reckon Accounts adds new features, tables, fields and reports to Reckon Accounts whenever they release a major upgrade, FLEXquarters puts in a significant amount of work to update QODBC to match. When you upgrade to a new version of Reckon Accounts, you must also purchase a new CD-Key for the matching version of QODBC to bring it up to date.

Assistance for our customers during the CoronaVirus (COVID-19) pandemic

We were thinking about how we could help, and it seemed like a good idea that if such a large number of businesses are shut down now that we should think about how we can help them to hurt less during this difficult time. So, we decided to make the following offers on our products.

For current users of our Windows desktop products QODBC for QuickBooks Desktop and QXL for QuickBooks Desktop we decided to offer some help to those who are working at home and may need an extra license to use our products while they're not in the office. So, we're offering a special web page where you can enter your license details and have your license increase by one unit for free for use on a home computer during the crisis.
