Celebrating 150 years in New Zealand! 🎉

The Awards Gala Dinner was a fitting way to close out a remarkable day. And a moment to reflect on what's made 150 years in possible: the partners, the people, and the projects that have helped power, connect, and build the country.

From the Lyttleton Timeball in 1876, to wind turbines helping drive New Zealand's energy transition, signalling systems keeping 36 million Wellington rail journeys running, the Royal New Zealand Navy becoming the first in the world to achieve unmanned space on a warship, and building solutions supporting around 80% of New Zealand's airport passengers and two-thirds of its university students. 150 years of work that matters.

Live performances, a keynote from Kevin Biggar, a man who knows a thing or two about pushing through the impossible to reach something extraordinary, and awards recognising outstanding contributions across the industry made for a night worth remembering.

Great are the foundation of everything we've built, and everything still ahead. Here's to the next 150 years. 🤝

Winning together with a Top Gun mindset.

Last week at our customer event in Melbourne, Matt Hall Racing, Red Bull Air Race World Champion and former Royal Australian Air Force Top Gun fighter pilot, shared the mindset it takes to perform under pressure and the importance of trust in the team around you.

Peter Halliday, our local CEO, and Matthias Rebellius, Managing Board member, brought it into focus by drawing on lessons from Matt and how that applies to success in business.

Rely on your team. Transform while keeping your values. Maintain a that's always learning and solving challenges with lateral thinking.

With more accessible than ever, Australia and New Zealand have a unique opportunity to accelerate , productivity, and growth. No single organization can navigate this transformation alone. The ecosystems we build with partners and customers matter more than any single company acting alone.

Winning together. That's the mindset.

Kia ora, New Zealand! 🇳🇿
150 years of innovation. 150 years of partnership. 🙌

In 1876, New Zealand welcomed the Lyttelton Timeball, manufactured by Siemens Brothers. The precision timing station helped sailors navigate safely across the world's oceans and heralded the start of our operations in the country.

Fast forward 150 years, our technology is helping power industries, connecting communities with rail and enabling solutions. From keeping time at sea to enabling rocket missions to the stars with our software, we've been proud to support New Zealand's ambitions at every step.

This year, as we celebrate our 150th anniversary in , we do so knowing that while technology has transformed dramatically, the spirit of purpose and impact behind that first project remains the same.

We're proud of our journey and excited for what's next. Here's to shaping the future together. 🚀

A strong digital backbone is the key to success in the industrial AI revolution. 🦾

At Clean Energy Council’s , our local CEO Peter Halliday was on a panel discussion moderated by Sam Lynch from Kraken and joined by Stefan Hajkowicz from CSIRO and Daniel Austin from ETU - The Electrical Trades Union exploring ’s influence on operations, infrastructure and workforce capability in the clean energy sector.

As Peter noted, a strong digital backbone is what determines whether AI delivers in energy operations. Getting the underlying systems, data, and connectivity right isn't optional, it's the foundation everything else depends on.

That kind of foundation doesn't get built by one organisation alone. The panel itself showed what's needed: industry, research, and the workforce in the same room, working through the common challenges.

The work happening now will define what's possible at scale.

Technology available today is more accessible and more capable than at any point in history. 🤝

Premier Chris Minns outlined his priorities at yesterday's CEDA (Committee for Economic Development of Australia) State of the State NSW and it was clear that industry and technology will play a critical role in the future of the state.

In response, our CEO Peter Halliday shared the importance of embracing technology and rapid innovation to drive productivity, competitiveness and Australia's ability to deliver economic impact. Underpinning all of this is a strong of and digital infrastructure, supported by the most efficient delivery of .

But technology is only part of the story. Transformation is also about people, partnerships, shared ambition and growth mindsets to turn possibility into progress.

We’ve been part of Australia's transformation story for more than 150 years and we've seen firsthand the remarkable outcomes when the right technology meets the right partnerships.

Celebrating German and Australian technology collaborations. 🤝

Our 150+ years in Australia are shaped by many highlights. Last week we marked another significant milestone as our global CEO Roland Busch and regional CEO Peter Halliday presented our 50,000th Fusesaver to Germany's State Secretary Florian Hauer.

The success of Fusesaver, an innovation from Queensland taken global with technology from Berlin, is testament to what's possible when we bring together Australian and European engineering.

Thanks to the European Australian Business Council for giving us the platform to continue strengthening our deep and connection with Europe, particularly in light of the recent EU-Australia Free Trade Agreement. At the event, Peter moderated a fireside chat with Roland, the Australian Ambassador to Germany Natasha Smith (GAICD), President of the German-Australian Chamber of Industry and Commerce Bronwyn Fox AO and German Parliamentary State Secretary Stefan Rouenhoff, focused on:

🌏Capitalising on the benefits of the FTA
🌏The rapid need for frameworks that will support acceleration of innovation with
🌏German and Australian innovation across industry, infrastructure and energy sectors
🌏World Cup Soccer ⚽

The message was clear: what we can build together matters more than what we build alone. While geography shapes where we start, collaboration determines how far we can reach.
