Queensland innovation going beyond borders. 🌏

Last night in Brisbane, we announced a major expansion of our Fusesaver™ manufacturing facility in Queensland.

This investment will see us quadruple the facility size, double the workforce in Yatala, and deliver over $300 million in additional exports over the next decade.

The announcement was made by Peter Halliday, our CEO for the region and Dr Brett Watson, our local Head of Electrification & Automation along with the Hon. Ros Bates, Minister for Finance, Trade, Employment and Training for Queensland, all highlighting the state's global impact.

Following the announcement, Dr Watson, Sean Bohannon from Trade and Investment Queensland, Adam Gibson from techvox, and Shannon Willoughby from The University of Queensland discussed how harnessing technology, , collaboration, and bold thinking can help tackle big challenges and create global impact.

Fusesaver is a perfect example of how we're supporting the global from right here in Queensland.

Invented locally to enhance energy network reliability, this technology is now exported to over 35 countries protecting over 100,000 kms of power lines worldwide.

Could quantum clocks be the key to increasing grid resilience?

As renewables and distributed energy resources reshape the energy system, precise timing is no longer optional, it's critical for stability.

We're proud to partner with Swinburne University of Technology on Australia's first study into quantum-enhanced timing for .
