A temporary vehicle should not create a temporary gap in fleet visibility. 🚗👀

Rental vehicles, replacement vehicles and short-term fleet additions can make it difficult to maintain consistent safety and reporting standards.

The MacTrack sAInt-X provides a portable video telemetry option that can be moved between suitable vehicles using its suction-mount system.

It combines:
📹 road and cabin video
🎯 real-time GPS tracking
👤 driver monitoring
⚠️ ADAS safety alerts
📁 cloud and local footage storage

This makes it great for fleets where the vehicle may change, but the need for safety visibility does not.

10 years… 2 years… 1.5 years. Same tracker. 🤔

A tracker’s battery life depends heavily on how often it wakes up, finds its location and sends data.

Take the Ghost 3 as an example:

🔋 Once-daily updates: up to 10 years
📍 Movement-based tracking: approximately 2 years*
⏱️ Hourly updates: approximately 1.5 years*

Same tracker. Same batteries. Very different battery life.

Why? Because every extra location check and transmission uses power.

And that doesn’t mean one setting is necessarily “better” than another.

If you only need to know where an asset is once a day, there’s little point asking the tracker to check in every hour. If movement history or more frequent visibility matters, then the extra battery usage may be well worth it.

The goal isn’t to collect the most data possible. It’s to collect the right data for the job. 🔍

The sAInt-X isn’t designed to be permanently tied to one vehicle. We've designed a suction-mount setup which means you can remove it from one vehicle and move it into another quickly and easily.

Ideal for rental vehicles, replacements, rotating fleets or anywhere you need video coverage without committing to a permanent install.

Some assets are easy to access, others may be deployed remotely, exposed to harsh conditions or left in service for years 🕒🔋

The MacTrack Recon BLE is designed for those long-term installations. Powered by two D-cell batteries, it offers an estimated battery life of up to 20 years with once-daily reporting, along with Bluetooth gateway capability and high-frequency tracking options when more detail is required.

It is also housed in an IP68 and IK07-rated enclosure for demanding environments.

Long battery life is not simply about convenience. It can reduce servicing visits across large or remote asset fleets.

Sometimes GPS tracking is only part of the story 👀📹

Mark from WA Electrical and Mechanical wanted a little more visibility across the fleet than location alone could provide.

Their new truck is now fitted with our sAInt camera solution, adding driver monitoring, driving event insights and video footage alongside their GPS tracking.

It means if something happens out on the road, there’s a much clearer picture of what actually occurred.

A little dirt never hurt anyone… especially this tracker. 👀

“Built tough” sounds good, but IP and IK ratings tell you a lot more about what a device has actually been designed to handle.

🔍 IP ratings relate to protection against solids like dust, as well as water exposure.

🔍 IK ratings relate to resistance against physical impact.

Many MacTrack asset trackers are rated IP68 and either IK06 or IK07, making them well suited to demanding outdoor and industrial environments.

That said, tough doesn’t mean indestructible.

Mounting position, direct exposure, seals and the installation method still play a big role in long-term reliability.

Built for the rough stuff. Still worth installing properly. 💪

Happy two-year work-versary to Wozza! 🥳

Two years at MacTrack called for a team lunch at Varsity, where our one and only Freo supporter naturally went straight for The Wharf Burger. 🍔💜

The rest of us may not agree with his footy choices, but we’re pretty happy to have him on the team. 😂

Tracking that works around your business, not the other way around 🛠️

Greg from Stand up Contracting Pty Ltd needed a GPS tracker installed on his skid steer with a quick turnaround.

We were able to work around his schedule, get the machine into our workshop and have the install completed so they could get back on their way.
