PS5 Overheating? Deep Cleaning & Liquid Metal Service
Here’s a real PS5 overheating case from one of our customers.
The customer was playing NBA, but after around 20 minutes, the PS5 would freeze, shut itself down and display an overheating warning.
After opening the console, we found heavy dust build-up around the fan, power supply and cooling system. We also found that the liquid metal coverage on the APU was uneven.
We completed a full internal deep clean and reapplied fresh liquid metal.
After the service, we tested the PS5 by running NBA for around 2 hours continuously:
✅ No freezing
✅ No unexpected shutdown
✅ No overheating warning
✅ Running normally
