Congratulations, Shiwangi, on your third anniversary! 🥳🎉
There’s a beautiful word in Mandarin — yuanfen (緣分). ✨ It’s a Chinese concept of fate or destiny that brings people together, suggesting that relationships and encounters are not random but predestined.
This word came to my mind when I was talking with my colleague Shiwangi Garg this morning. I met her by chance on my way to the office — right at the moment when I realized I hadn’t brought my card and had no idea how to open the door.
Sometimes you meet the right people at the right time.
And it works not only for people, but also for companies.
- How long have you been with the company? - I asked Shiwangi as we walked.
- Today marks my third year, - she answered with a smile.
- Oh, really! Congratulations! - I replied, surprised at the coincidence — how easily this milestone could have been missed if I hadn’t forgotten my key.
- Thank you! It’s interesting to think that when I joined MESHED Group, I started as an intern, - she said.
- And now you’re an ICT Compliance and Integration Consultant — that’s so impressive! How did you achieve it? - I asked.
- After some time in the company, the person responsible for compliance resigned, and I was given the opportunity to grow and expand my skills and knowledge. I studied a lot, and my colleagues Binod and Raj supported me throughout the journey. And yes, now it’s already 3 years, - she answered, still smiling.
- I want to write about this, - I told her.
The first reason: today is Shiwangi’s 3-year anniversary at Meshed Group. We should always celebrate and cherish these milestones. ☺️
The second reason: stories like hers show how the right company culture, paired with support from experienced mentors, can shape strong professionals — transforming interns into trusted experts on your team. ✨
It’s always worth investing in people and your team.
As a company working in and for the education industry, I believe this is a great example of how important the journey of learning and professional development is — when supported by the right people at the right time.
That’s why the word that came to my mind was yuanfen (緣分).
As a company, we need to create opportunities for our employees to grow, and an environment where they are supported on their journey. It takes time and effort to find the right people for your team. But it is always worth it to invest your energy in people.
As the fifth principle of the Agile Manifesto says:
“Build projects around motivated individuals.
Give them the environment and support they need,
and trust them to get the job done.”
Congratulations, Shiwangi, on your third anniversary! 🥳 🎉
Your story will inspire many. ❤️🩷💛
