Repeater channels are designed to extend radio range, not for normal radio-to-radio chat. If you use a repeater input channel for local communication, your transmission may accidentally activate a repeater and be broadcast much further than intended.
That can interfere with other users β and may put you in breach of ACMA class licence rules.
For normal simplex radio-to-radio communication, avoid repeater channels:
1β8, 31β38, 41β48 and 71β78
Use simplex channels instead:
9β21, 24β30, 39β40, 49β60, 64β70 and 79β80
A simple rule: if you are not intentionally using a repeater, stay off the repeater channels.
