Today we say farewell to an incredible leader, colleague and friend – although we're still trying to work out who approved letting her leave.

Over her time with us, Bec has made a lasting impact through her dedication, compassion and unwavering commitment to people. She has a remarkable ability to build genuine connections, bring out the best in those around her, and create a workplace where people feel valued and supported.

Whether she was leading a project, mentoring a team member, sharing a laugh, or delivering the perfectly timed witty comment that had everyone in stitches, Bec brought her whole self to everything she did. Her wicked sense of humour, warmth and authenticity have left a mark on all of us.

While we're excited to see what comes next for her (no really, we are!), we're also wondering who will now keep us entertained, grounded and on track all at once. There is no doubt she will be deeply missed by our team and the many people she has worked with.

Thank you, Bec, for your leadership, kindness, humour and the difference you've made. We wish you every success and happiness in your next chapter – and remind you that once you're part of the team, you're never really allowed to leave. 💜

We're not crying. You're crying.

[Collage showing the multiple faces of Bec over the years, and a farewell card that reads; "See ya. Bye. You're dead to us now." Inset - "Good luck finding somewhere better."]

For Global Accessibility Awareness Day, our team shared what accessibility means to them through their own lived experience.

Accessibility is more than good design, good standard practice, or something to tick off a list. It is the difference between people being able to participate fully or being excluded. It should never be an afterthought.

At Blend Creative, inclusive design is not just something we talk about. It is something we advocate for, something we create, and something we learn more about every day.

Blend Creative are proud to have supported the launch of the Brotherhood of St. Laurence (BSL) Stretch Disability Action Plan (DAP) 2026–2028.

The plan sets out a bold, future-focused commitment to advancing access, inclusion and participation for people with disability – embedding equity across systems, culture, leadership and everyday practice as part of BSL’s ongoing DEI journey.

Working alongside BSL, we helped bring this important work to life for the official launch last week, which brought together lived experience advocates and change makers to share powerful insights on building a more inclusive community.

We’re grateful to be part of a journey that continues to champion accessibility and belonging for all.

There’s a saying that a picture is worth a thousand words – and this photoshoot proves exactly that.

Blend Creative recently coordinated a shoot to deliver a suite of beautiful photographic assets for the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission. It was a privilege to bring lived experience to the forefront of these resources, and we look forward to collaborating with them again in the future. 💜

At the going down of the sun,
and in the morning,
We will remember them.
Lest we forget 🌺

We’re a couple of days late for Earth Day… but it’s still Earth Week, and this artwork was too good not to share!

Created by one of our talented team members, this piece celebrates our planet in all its forms – from oceans and cityscapes to green fields and snowy mountains, all under a bright, smiling sun.

At Blend Creative, we’re lucky to work alongside artists who bring important ideas to life in their own unique way. This is a reminder of just how creative, colourful, and connected our world really is.

[Colourful illustration of Earth Day featuring a smiling cartoon sun surrounded by diverse landscapes including ocean, city buildings, green grasslands, and snowy mountains. The image is vibrant and layered, showing different environments all around the globe. The words "Happy Earth Day" are written in a cloud-like formation around the central image. The Blend Creative logo is in the bottom left hand corner, and "Artwork by Michael" in the bottom right.]

As World Music Therapy week comes to a close, Blend Creative are proud to stand alongside our friends at Australian Music Therapy Association – championing the power of music to connect, uplift, and create meaningful change. As a social purpose studio supporting people with disability, this work resonates deeply with us, and we’re here for it – loudly and wholeheartedly.

During World Music Therapy Week, we're showing how people connect with music therapy. Josephine Sham RMT is the director of a bilingual music therapy practice that connects people with their communities.

“My cultural and linguistic background allows me to build meaningful and deeply connected therapeutic relationships with my clients,” Josephine says.

“During COVID, I supported a pair of Chinese older adults who were experiencing significant isolation. They didn't speak English, and the lockdown made their world even smaller. Through online sessions, I sang familiar Cantonese songs to support them - songs that carried memories, identity, and comfort. In those moments, music became more than just music - it lifted their mood, eased feelings of depression, and reconnected them to something deeply familiar.

“That experience remains incredibly precious to me. Music therapy not only supports my clients - it also brings together my cultural identity and professional identity in a deeply meaningful way.”

Thank you, Josephine, for sharing how music therapy connects, as part of World Music Therapy Week.

Happy Easter to our wonderful community.
May your day be full of sunshine, sweet treats, and zero judgement for how much chocolate you eat 🤣 💜

Have a great mini break - and take care if you're travelling this Easter.
We hope it's filled with rest, good company and maybe a little chocolate too 💜
