My name is Dan Dench.
I’ve been obsessed with IT since I was 7 years old.
My dad worked for IBM for a short time, and I’d sneak into his home office to install DOS game demos from PC magazines — Commander Keen, Descent, Doom… all the OG classics.
I’m now 42, and it’s been quite a ride:
• 🧒 7: Learned basic DOS (1990)
• 👦 13: Disassembled my first computer
• 💻 15: Built my first custom PC
• 💾 17: Started selling branded USB sticks
• 🎓 19: Knocked out a heap of IT courses
• 👨💼 20: Landed my first official IT job
• 🚀 24: Promoted to IT Supervisor (2nd job)
• 🌊 28: Took a break — became a SCUBA Instructor!
• 🧠 31: Back in IT, promoted to Manager (3rd job)
• 🏗️ 33: Started my own IT business
• 🏢 36: Turned it into a company
• 💥 39: Burnt out, broke, and broken
• 🧭 40: Closed the company and sold everything
For the last couple of years, I’ve been travelling around Queensland and the NT, taking time to reset.
Now I’m back home in South Australia — the promised land — ready for a fresh start.

⚙️ The Next Chapter: Diginoz Refurbs
(Digital in Oz – Refurbishments)
I’m starting a new business selling refurbished laptops and desktops, but this time it’s not just about computers — it’s about documenting the entire journey.
I’ll be posting short videos showing every stage of each device’s story:
💸 Purchase → 🔧 Refurb → 💻 Sale → 📞 1-Month Follow-up.
I’ll also share the process of building a business from scratch again, honestly and transparently — the wins, the failures, and everything in between.
If you love tech, small business, or comeback stories —
follow this page and join me as I rebuild from the ground up.
