Already have a home battery or thinking about installing one? Eligible South Australian households may qualify for a REPS Virtual Power Plant (VPP) battery rebate by connecting a suitable battery to an approved VPP.

You may be eligible if your household meets certain Priority Group criteria, including holding an eligible concession card or receiving the SA Government energy bill concession.

Why didn't we install a standard 5kW inverter?

This Adelaide home has ducted air conditioning that already uses around 3.5kW.

With a 5kW inverter, there would be very little capacity left for other appliances.

So we designed the system around the home's actual energy demand:
