The Mushroom Faery House has moved on from our front verge garden. I bought it several years ago from the local op shop. I wouldn't mind it back. But if it's now located in a new garden, I hope it's well loved and is settling in well.

I'm planting a Stemodia florulenta my friend gave me in the same spot so hopefully more butterflies will enjoy the change from garden ornament to plant. 💚

A few weeks back I had the chance to reflect on the City of Marion Community Leadership Program (CLP) with my friend Jodie. We are both graduates from the Class of 2019. It's a little bit embarrassing to share but I remember how much I struggled with imposter syndrome back then too, so it never goes away, I simply push through it and give things a go anyway, including video opportunities with friends!

The Little Library on Lloyd Street and so many other awesome projects and opportunities began with the CLP and honestly it's been an absolute blast to learn so much alongside many people. From community members just like me through to professionals who are passionate about ways to build kinder, connected and happier communities.

Expressions of interest for the 2026 Community Leadership Program are open now, so go on, do it! Link in comments.

Thanks to Rob from You Tell Videos for spending a whole afternoon with me and my friends and let us chat away about what we love to do or feel like must be done.

My friend Sandy called past today. Sandy tells stories with street chalk art, this one inspired by my love of sticks. It's adorable but also it's a very caring thing to do because she knows how much I love the small creatures and the way magic can be found if you're prepared to look....or in Sandy's case, create it.

If you love sticks, you will know just how awesome they are and useful too!

Neighbours Every Day do extraordinary things.

Exciting to see this book Garden On The Verge A New Approach by Gayle Dallaston at the library! Some of you might know Gayle from The Shady Lanes Project. Now you can borrow her book as well. It's also available to buy if you want one to keep.

I requested the library purchase this one and it's wonderful to see they did!

My worlds of libraries , books and community projects like verge gardening collide sometimes in the best possible way.

The sunshine arrived today!

Library stickers and a new flag for IDAHOBIT Day, previous stickers and flags had done well in all seasons but definitely time for a refresh. Thanks for the merch Minus18

Tidied the community sharing garden and popped in some herbs and leafy greens. I'm on cabbage white butterfly, slugs and snails duty though because the previously planted brassicas are chomped to bits (there's always enough to share though).

Books continue to come and go and are always fun to find. I always appreciate everyone in the community that continues to keep this little library going.

Thanks to Selena from Mitcham Library Service for the Tech It Easy: Getting more from your library card class at the Pasadena Community Centre this morning. I thought I knew all the things but I did not! We had a few laughs and lightbulb moments. And Selena helped to fix a notification glitch on my phone which was a nice bonus.

Other Tech It Easy sessions are coming up, so check them out and book yourself in.
