CORE I/O supports a wide range of workflows:
Recording Flows
Flexible multi-channel recording with multiple output possibilities, including Loop Recording Mode for 24/7 continuous recording and segment export workflows. Optional actions such as HTML graphics overlays and live Speech-to-Text overlays can be added directly into the recording flow.
Playout Flows
Single-file playout and playlist-based playout for news, live shows, studio productions, and other broadcast environments. These playout flows also support HTML graphics overlays and live Speech-to-Text overlays.
Live Signal Transcoding Flows
Flexible live signal transcoding for converting, processing, and distributing incoming signals across modern broadcast and production environments. These transcoding flows support HTML graphics overlays and live Speech-to-Text overlays.
Newsroom Integration
MOS integration with NRCS systems such as Octopus, AP ENPS, and other newsroom systems using the MOS protocol.
MAM, Cloud, and Partner Integrations
CORE I/O integrates seamlessly with Media Asset Management systems such as ICONIK, Mimir, Cantemo, and others, enabling efficient capture and asset handling workflows. It can write directly to cloud storage targets, including AWS S3 and Backblaze B2 buckets, and can also retrieve files from these locations to local storage when required for playout or production workflows. In addition, integrations with LucidLink, Suite Studios, Backblaze, and other partner technologies shown during NAB further extend the platform into modern hybrid and cloud-connected broadcast environments.
With CORE I/O and the latest macOS 2026 product line, ToolsOnAir continues to deliver powerful, flexible, and future-ready broadcast software solutions for professional recording, playout, and live production workflows.
