Starting today, there are new services for the Taunus network in the Rhine-Main area (Regionalverkehre Start Deutschland GmbH), the Elbe Spree network (ODEG - Ostdeutsche Eisenbahn GmbH ), S-Bahn Bremen (Nordwestbahn ), ELA-Network (DESAG) and Berchtesgarden Ruhpolding line (BRB): Trains are departing as of now - and they are running with high-speed on board WiFi from Unwired Networks. 🚆

Unwired is in Brussels today, participating at the European Broadband Days 2017. We are contributing to ensure WIFI4EU is implemented with the needs of municipalities in mind.

Importantly we are advocating for solutions so our municipality customers will benefit from WIFI4EU, while staying in control of their WiFi. Most importantly the user data and presentation must remain within the control of the municipality operating the WiFi.

Unwired Networks realisiert freies WLAN in Judenburg
Seit kurzem steht in Judenburg am Hauptplatz, in der Stadtbibliothek und im Stadtamt beim Bürgerservice kostenloses WLAN für Einwohner und Touristen zur Verfügung.
Gemeinsam mit unserem Partner Kommunalnet hat sich damit eine weitere Gemeinde für das zukunftsträchtige Unwired Gäste WLAN System entschieden. Wir freuen uns schon auf den weiteren Ausbau im Frühjahr 2018.

Spezialtransport für die Unwired Techniker und die Hardware im Skigebiet Innerkrems. Rechtzeitig vor Beginn der Wintersaison werden bei den Seilbahnen Innerkrems die Hotspots für ein flächendeckendes Gäste-WLAN Netz installiert. Der erste Schnee kann uns dabei auch nicht aufhalten ;-)

WPA2 Sicherheitslücke KRACK

Wie sicherlich aus den Medien bekannt, wurde eine Sicherheitslücke im WPA2 Protokoll entdeckt. Dieses wird zur Sicherung von privaten WLAN Netze verwendet.

Durch diese Lücke – Krack (Key Reinstallation Attacks) genannt – können verschlüsselte Verbindungen geknackt oder abgehört werden.
