Petra is a serial entrepreneur and pioneer in the field of the ethical use of artificial intelligence (AI). She studied business administration, art history and philosophy and entered the media industry parallel to her studies in production manage- ment at ORF Vienna. As co-founder of a successful start-up in the new economy era, she held leading positions as marketing and e-commerce manager in corporations (Generali Versicherung AG, Julius Meinl International AG). At European Travel Insurance AG (part of Generali Versicherung AG), she was mainly responsible for the very successful launch of the first insurance product in Europe that could be purchased online. In 2004 she moved from Vienna to Hamburg and founded UNDER PAR GmbH, an internationally high tech real estate development company. Later she founded UNDER PAR Publishing Ltd., which produced projects such as the UNDER PAR E-Paper and MUSEUM TV, an internet TV format. Both projects were successfully sold to a German media group. She lives in Hamburg, Zurich, San Francisco and London. Petra Augustyn was Vice President of the IAB (Internet Advertising Board) Austria in its founding phase 2002.
