The Family Day exceeded all expectations. Many people experienced our work environment, technology, and team spirit with all their senses. Hundreds of family members and friends experienced high-tech products made by AT&S for the first time. PCBilly and Substrate Suzy, our walk-around tech ambassadors, were the top of everyone’s to-do list for photos.

📢 AT&S is expanding its Kulim site to support growing AI-driven demand

Artificial Intelligence is reshaping the semiconductor industry at unprecedented speed – and AT&S is investing to help shape that future.

Based on agreements with AMD and another leading technology company, we are expanding our manufacturing site in Kulim, Malaysia. The expansion includes the fit-out of plant 2 and the construction of a new manufacturing facility for IC substrate cores and advanced PCBs.

This strategic investment of €1.5 to 2.0 billion is supported by long-term customer commitments and reflects both the sustained demand driven by AI and the trust our customers place in AT&S.

AT&S CEO Michael Mertin says: “Our technological leadership, strong partnerships with the global players in the semiconductor industry, and proven ability to scale advanced manufacturing facilities positions us as the partner of choice for the next wave in growth. The expansion of our site in Kulim underscores the trust our customers place in our capabilities and our shared commitment to long-term profitable growth.”

What started with uncertainty ended in an unforgettable display of team spirit ⛈️💪

Despite thunderstorms and heavy rain, 130 runners from AT&S showed incredible motivation and resilience at this year’s Business Run at the Red Bull Ring. 🏁
Even when the race was shortened, the energy and commitment remained stronger than ever.

From slippery track to soaked clothes, our colleagues pushed forward together - cheering each other on and proving that true team spirit can overcome any challenge.

🏆 A special highlight: our apprentice Christoph Müller delivered an outstanding performance, winning the apprentice category with an impressive time of 7:14.28 min

Thank you to everyone who participated and made this event so special despite the conditions. Your passion truly defines what stands for.

From advanced packaging and thermal management to hybrid bonding and panel-level packaging, this year’s discussions made one thing clear: IC substrates remain a key enabler of future AI technologies.

Innovation in AI is happening beyond the silicon, advanced packaging and interconnect technologies are critical for next-generation computing.
