The Motherboard: is the part of the computer responsible for connect and connect all the components of the computer, i.e. processor with ram, hard disk, Graphics Card, among others.
�Além to allow the traffic of information, the plate also feeds some peripherals with the electric power that gets the source of food.
Types of motherboards
� AT
Until the acronym for advanced technology. This is a type of motherboard already old. Its use was constant from 1983 until 1996.
� ATX
ATX is the acronym for "Advanced Technology extended". by name, it is possible to note that it is the pattern at perfected. One of the main developers of ATX was the intel. The goal of the ATX was to solve the problems of the pattern at (cited above), the standard presents a series of improvements in relation to the previous one. Currently the majority of new computers are based on this pattern.
Among the main characteristics of the ATX, are:

• Connectors of keyboard and mouse in the format mini-din ps / 2 Connector (Minor)
Connectors Serial and parallel linked directly on the motherboard, without the need for cables,
• Better positioning of the processor, avoiding that it prevents the installation of plates of expansion for lack of space.
