On November 14, 2024, 20th IEEE EWDTS'2024 (East-West, Design and Test) International Symposium was co-located with the 1st Microelectronics International Forum (MIF) held in Dvin Music Hall in Yerevan.
Greeting the EWDTS'24 and MIF participants, the Charman of IEEE EWDT Symposium Dr. Yervant Zorian said: "Holding some of EWDTS’24 sessions in conjunction with MIF will double the engagement and impact.”

On November 13, 2024, the 20th IEEE EWDTS'2024 (East-West, Design and Test) International Symposium kicked off in the capital of Armenia, Yerevan. This was the 4th time that Armenia hosted this symposium. The Opening Session took place in the main hall of AGBU Armenia with participation of the Deputy Minister of the Ministry of High-tech Industry of Armenia Ruben Simonyan.

“This year the IEEE EWDTS’2024 gathered the experienced professionals and scientists in silicon to system design from 14 countries to share their knowledge and expertise. Especially now, when the complexity will soon cross 1 trillion transistors per chip and the miniaturization will soon go below 1 angstrom, such forums are essential to discuss among world renown experts the impact of such continued technological advancements on the design and test of chips”, - in his welcome speech said Dr. Yervant Zorian, the co-chairman of IEEE EWDT Symposium, the chairman of IEEE tttc Council, Synopsys Fellow and Synopsys Armenia President.

The East-West, Design and Test symposium is sponsored by CS (Computer Society). IEEE, the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, is the world's largest technical professional organization whose activities are dedicated to the advancement of technology for the benefit of humanity. This year the symposium is supported by UEICT (Union of Employers of ICT), and Synopsys SARA (Synopsys Academic & Research Alliances) program.
