EnGenius Cloud: A New Era of Video Surveillance and Intelligent NVS
EnGenius has announced a major upgrade to its cloud video surveillance ecosystem. The key highlights of the release include advanced AI features for the ECC camera series and the introduction of Network Video Storage (NVS) solutions to the product portfolio.

The most significant update is the introduction of facial recognition, now available in the flagship ECC500 camera. Thanks to the built-in Neural Processing Unit (NPU), data processing takes place directly on the device, ensuring instant response and enhanced privacy.

Key Features of the Updated Functionality:
-Multi-object recognition
The system can identify multiple individuals simultaneously, even in crowded environments.
-Personalized profiles
Users can create a “known persons” database to receive instant alerts when a specific individual appears (e.g., a manager or VIP customer).
-Cross-camera search and Timeline
The solution allows tracking a person’s full movement path across all cameras in the network. Users can upload a photo or select a face from the archive, and the system will automatically generate a visual timeline of the person’s activity at the facility.
-Smart notifications
Edge AI distinguishes between people and vehicles, significantly reducing false alarms.

For advanced cloud analytics, AI Tokens are used. This enables flexible cost planning depending on activity levels — from low-traffic warehouses to busy shopping centers.

Additionally, to provide greater flexibility in video data storage, EnGenius has expanded its portfolio with the AI Cloud Network Video Storage series. These devices combine traditional video surveillance with cloud technologies.

The solutions support up to four drive bays with RAID 1/5/6 for maximum fault tolerance. Equipped with built-in GPUs, the storage systems handle Edge AI analytics while providing large-scale local storage with fast cloud search capabilities.

Starting in 2026, users will be able to configure automatic video backups not only to local SD cards or NVS devices, but also to popular cloud services such as Google Drive and Microsoft OneDrive. This ensures access to critical evidence even in case of physical theft or damage to the camera.
