Job Description Senior Web Developer :
We are looking for a talented PHP Developer, highly experienced in WordPress, to join our passionate and highly skilled team. As a PHP / WordPress Developer you will be a valued contributor and be instrumental in researching and implementing new ideas, solutions, technologies, and development processes.
We maintain an array of custom sites and a fairly large WordPress multi-site installation, each with their own unique challenges to solve. The ideal candidate must be a solution-driven problem solver and know how to work well independently and in team environments. You should have experience working as a full stack developer in the WordPress ecosystem, however, the majority of the work will involve creating plugins, refactoring existing code, extending WordPress functionality, troubleshooting issues and conflicts between plugins – basically, anything required to deliver kickass, scalable, and maintainable websites.
Requirements
• 5 years minimum PHP development experience, including object oriented PHP
• Expert knowledge of WordPress – custom post types, custom fields, plugins, theme development, WordPress database and WordPress APIs
• Experience with WordPress Multisite
• Skilled in HTML, HTML5, JavaScript, JQuery, Ajax, and CSS
• Good working experience in MySQL including the use of efficient SQL commands
• Experience transferring data through endpoints using APIs/RESTful APIs
• Test new website code prior to deployment
• Use Git to manage source code
• Ability to write, debug and test scripting languages like Javascript and jQuery
• Ability to debug and refactor existing PHP code
• Proficient with *nix shell / terminal
Bonus Points
• Familiar with other programming languages, e.g., Ruby, Python, etc
• Familiar with MVC software pattern
• Familiar with Javascript frameworks,e.g., AngularJS, Ember.js, etc
• Familiar with CSS, JS, and HTML preprocessors.
