Everyone says AI will improve banking through automation.
I think Islamic banking has a bigger opportunity.
Using AI to reduce uncertainty, not replace people.
Imagine AI continuously monitoring contracts, transactions, and investments for potential Shariah compliance risks while providing transparent, evidence-backed explanations that customers and scholars can review.
Not replacing scholars.
Empowering them with continuous visibility.
Because the future of AI in Islamic banking may be less about smarter algorithms and more about greater transparency, accountability, and trust.
I've visualized this idea below.
Can AI meaningfully strengthen Shariah governance without replacing scholarly judgment?
I'd love to hear your perspective.
