Meta appears to be testing the removal of ad set placement exclusions for some advertisers with Sales and Leads objectives. According to Jon Loomer, affected advertisers may lose the ability to exclude individual placements, entire platforms, devices and operating systems at the ad-set level.
The practical response is to audit why those exclusions exist. A placement that generates inexpensive clicks can look efficient while producing very little commercial value, especially when the campaign is optimising for traffic rather than qualified outcomes.
Review placement performance against CRM quality, sales and revenue. If a genuine problem exists, consider a placement value rule or an account-level restriction. If the exclusion was added years ago and nobody remembers why, it may be time to test the assumption.
If your Meta campaigns are generating attractive platform metrics but disappointing business results, Blue Beetle can help identify what the algorithm is actually being rewarded for.
