CrowdStrike has released a new update that addresses the previous issues caused by their faulty update, which resulted in host problems and blue screen (BSOD) errors. Once your devices receive this update, you may need to reboot them for the changes to take effect and resolve the BSOD issues.

If your hosts continue to crash and cannot stay online to receive the update, please follow these workaround steps:

1. Boot Windows into Safe Mode or the Windows Recovery Environment.

2. Navigate to the
C:\Windows\System32\drivers\CrowdStrike directory.

3. Locate and delete the file that matches “C-00000291*.sys”.

4. Boot the host normally.

These steps should help resolve the issues and get your devices back to normal.
