My Translation of Imam Shafee’s poem: Let days do as they wish, don't you resist,
Console your soul when destiny's clenched fist.
Don't be dismayed by nights' unfolding tale,
For transient are life's trials, they shall soon pale.

Be a person of resilience in face of fears,
With gentleness and fidelity that adheres.
Though flaws abound within your worldly stride,
Let generosity's cloak your blemishes hide.

Every fault concealed by generosity's grace,
As giving covers them, a truth we embrace.
Never shall enemies' taunts bring you low,
Their mockery shall fade, their spiteful blow.

Seek not kindness from the hearts of the miserly,
For their hearts are arid, void of empathy.
The fire quenches not the thirsty's plight,
Nor does the miser yield in the night's light.

Your sustenance isn't diminished by delay,
Nor increased by toiling, come what may.
Sorrow's reign is temporary in its stay,
As is boundless joy, fleeting in its display.

Neither adversity nor fortune lasting shall be,
Neither destitution nor comfort shall decree.
If within your heart contentment finds its abode,
You and the world share an equal code.

When mortality's call marks your destined space,
No earthly shield shall guard your resting place.
God's realm is vast, yet when fate takes hold,
Spaces constrict as destiny's tales unfold.

Let days deceive with their changing guise,
No remedy can the inevitability of death disguise
