Elon Musk’s brain-chip start-up, Neuralink, has recently announced that is it has been given the green light to initiate recruitment for the first human trial involving its brain implant designed for individuals living with paralysis.

In this ground-breaking study, a robotic system will be employed to precisely implant a brain-computer interface (BCI) device into a specific area of the brain responsible for controlling the intention to move. Neuralink’s primary objective with this initiative is to empower people to control a computer cursor or keyboard solely through the power of their thoughts.
