Exactly 20 years ago today, on December 24, 2002, Godel Technologies Europe was founded. Throughout these 20 years, we have never ceased to be convinced that the most important about Godel is its People. People who have found their colleagues and friends here. People who make the company better, day in day out. People who trust Godel Technologies (very soon there will be 2000 of us 😎). Today, let’s recall how it all started and what we have accomplished in those 20 years.

We are ready to announce another speaker within the Godel Usability Week! 🔥 “Privacy & Health” by Artsemi Martyniuk will touch upon health apps which are beyond doubt convenient for anyone to keep track of their health information.

But how do companies handle personal data? 🧐 According to the research by the British Medical Journal published in 2019, 79% of health-related apps available on Google Play, including apps that help manage drugs, adherence, medicines, or prescribing information, regularly shared user data with 3rd party, and their policies were “far from transparent”.

⚡️ We’ll discuss how period-tracking apps and the recent changes in law in the US are related, how valid privacy concerns are, and what legal restrictions apply to app policies in Europe and the US.

“Have you ever heard about accessibility? It's time to think beyond it. Let me add some other terms: Inclusive Design, Universal Design. Both empower people regardless of their capabilities and this is what design is meant to be. But what does it mean? 🤔

An inclusive product is not only usable by different people, but also welcomes people from diverse backgrounds and perspectives. I’d like to tell you what it means to design inclusively and support the broadest possible range of people with your product. Definitions, examples, principles that'll allow you to be aware and hopefully support in your team, project, company the full range of human diversity with respect to ability, language, culture, gender, age and other forms of human difference.”

Together with a team of 10 NHS consultants and expert software developers, Definition Health was founded in 2018 with the primary aim to improve outcomes and enhance patient experience 🚑.
💻 Looking to extend the capabilities of its product in the UK and beyond, the digital health company looked for a partner that could bring additional resource to its existing engineering team, as Nick Finch, Chief Technology Officer at Definition Health Explains.
🔬 “Our increasing desire to improve efficiency for patients and hospital users meant we required a partner that would provide us with the tools to grow and bolster the team in a scalable way. Having worked with Godel at a previous business, I was already aware of the success of having an integrated team which enables us to create an extension of our engineering team rather than outsourcing the work and responsibility.
Our products are focused on streamlining and optimising the peri-operative surgical pathway and capturing the necessary data for patients and hospital users.
