Our hero engineer Iurii Lukin was there together with our partner SGT Solutions — right in the middle of the discussions about new frequencies, local demand, and the next phase of wireless growth.

In South Africa, wireless is not a backup plan. It is a major growth engine.
The WISP segment here is active, commercially important, and tightly connected to real demand — from residential access to enterprise connectivity. And for it to keep moving, it needs one critical resource:

𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗺.

That is why the opening of new unlicensed frequency bands matters so much. It gives industry more room to build, connect, and raise service levels.

Hamza is always on the move. This week he was at MWC Barcelona, watching the industry go all-in on AI and mentally expanding our future to-do list.

For years networks were built to connect people and machines: cranes, mining trucks, cameras, sensors, drones and entire industrial sites.
