JSC Rolls Out IECMS Public Blitz in Marondera Ahead of 1 June Launch

MARONDERA — The Ministry of Justice, Legal and Parliamentary Affairs through the Judicial Service Commission (JSC), conducted a public awareness blitz in Marondera town to prepare residents for the rollout of the Integrated Electronic Case Management System (IECMS).

The JSC team took to the streets in a procession through Marondera’s central business district to sensitize members of the public on the changes coming to the judicial system. The campaign focused on educating citizens about the new digital platform, set for launch in Marondera on 1 June 2026.

Officials encouraged residents to register with the courts to obtain IECMS accounts, which will allow them to file cases, track proceedings, and transact with the courts digitally.

The IECMS is designed to reduce paperwork, cut delays, and improve access to justice by moving court processes online. The Marondera launch forms part of the JSC’s nationwide expansion of the system.

Residents who attended the blitz were urged to visit the courts for assistance with registration ahead of the go-live date.

ZNYPG 2026 Preparations Gather Pace as Provincial Managers Meet in Marondera

By Staff Reporter

MARONDERA – Preparations for the 2026 Zimbabwe National Youth and Paralympic Games are at an advanced stage, with the Sports and Recreation Commission (SRC) and the Ministry of Sport, Recreation, Arts and Culture (MOSRAC) hosting a high-level General Managers Assembly in Marondera this week.

The two-to-three-day meeting brings together all 10 provincial General Managers to align the general and technical aspects of the multi-discipline event. The aim is to ensure seamless coordination ahead of the Games, which are scheduled for Mashonaland East in August.

During the Assembly, Local Organising Committee presented their committees’ state of preparedness to the provincial managers. The delegation then toured Games venues and facilities with technical directors to assess infrastructure standards and readiness on the ground.

“The General Managers are quite happy with the state of preparedness by the Local Organising Committee,” said Sebastian Garikayi, SRC Director of Sport and Recreation Development.

The 2026 edition will see the Youth and Paralympic Games run concurrently under the ZNYPG banner, creating a single national platform for able-bodied and para-athletes.

The Assembly continues into its second day, with the Minister of State for Provincial Affairs and Devolution for Mashonaland East, Hon. Advocate Itayi Ndudzo, expected to join sports officials to review progress and provide strategic direction.
